“G.W.A.P Gear Clothing and Apparel” was founded in 2007 by myself, Bobby Sims aka Brisko. At the time, I had been heading down a long troubled road and was incarcerated, on the tail-end of a 2yr bid. While locked up, I started sketching designs for a clothing line and once I got out, I went ahead and got the company copyrighted. Thing is, I never pushed it forward, just pushed it aside. Wanting to change, but not really knowing how, I knew I was better and wanted to DO better, so I made the decision to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Took me a minute to get it right though, I was still straddling the fence and battling living how I was used to and really changing. I just thought about how He had kept me thru it all, the streets, drugs, alcohol, reckless living, and even thru being locked up, so I made a decision. I had to finally give it ALL to HIM, make the effort to seek HIM daily, and ever since then, my life has been enlightened!

With my Love for Christ and firsthand witness of what the love of the Lord can do; Through the Lord and His perfect timing, He led me to revisit those same sketched ideas and use it for His glory. Everybody likes to rock nice clothes and look fresh…why not do it while reppin for the Lord!  What once started as a blueprint for street clothes has now turned into an urban clothing ministry. I want it to be catered to the turf…the black top…bring it to where I’m from. That’s where His word is needed the most in my opinion. We need more light in dark areas, and what better light than THE light! We are all called to uplift HIS name and when it’s all said and done, I just want the Lord to say, “Good job my good and faithful child, I am well pleased”.

10% of all earnings will go to my church home to continue to help build and edify His kingdom here on earth as we are building our own place of worship. I truly love the Lord and am SO thankful of how HE has allowed me to transform. This is just a way to give back.

Spread HIS word while rockin a nice shirt or comfortable hoodie. Let the world know YOU are a child of the KING! I hope you find something that fits your get down!
